We are pleased to announce that Jill Pipher, president of the AMS and Elisha Benjamin Andrews Professor of Mathematics at Brown University, will deliver the inaugural UConn Mathematics Distinguished Lecture on Friday, April 19.
UConn’s AWM chapter is holding a tea discussion with Prof. J. Pipher before her lecture. Since J. Pipher has been the former president of AWM (2011-2013), this is a great opportunity to discuss issues and problems faced by women pursuing a doctorate degree in STEM. She will also share her experience and exchange ideas with us.
Hope to see you at the discussion on Friday Aprile 19th in MONT214 at 2:00 pm.
🙂
